On September 23, local time, the 57th ASEAN Economic Ministers¡¯ Conference was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.The conference announced on the evening of the 24th that despite the uncertainty of the global trade environment, the ASEAN economy will continue to grow by 4.8% in 2024, and is expected to grow by 4.2% in 2025, above the global average.

The meeting reaffirmed that ASEAN will, in the context of the continued uncertainty in the global trade environment,Firmly safeguard the rules-based multilateral trading systemThe implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP).

The participants also discussed progress in areas such as ASEAN trade facilitation, investment, digital economy and sustainable development, and emphasized the need to strengthen regional supply chain resilience through cooperation and promote the realization of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045
