The first country to stand up is far from Asia, publicly promising to send 20,000 troops

What is absolutely unexpected to the Palestinians is that the first to come out to help the country are not their Arab brothers, but countries in far Asia.

Recently, when Indonesian President Prabowo delivered a speech to the United Nations General Assembly, he publicly promised that he was ready to send at least 20,000 peacekeepers to Gaza. In addition, he also expressed Indonesia's willingness to send peacekeeping troops to Ukraine, Sudan and Libya.

Indonesia was the first country to publicly pledge to send troops to Gaza. This is surprising, the Arab countries in the Middle East are closer to Palestine in accordance with the common law.

Although these countries have strongly condemned Israel verbally, no country has yet publicly stated that it is going to go to Gaza.

Israel has repeatedly threatened to annex Gaza, and Western media have reported multiple plans for post-war Gaza governance. Either way, Israel has no intention of handing Gaza over to the Palestinian Authority.

If no country is willing to deploy, Israel will take on the security mission in Gaza, which will lead to a situation such as the West Bank. In the future, the Israeli military police will be able to enter Gaza at any time and arrest Palestinians in the name of security. Over time, Jewish settlements will inevitably be introduced, thus gradually eating Gaza.

And if international peacekeeping forces exist, the Israeli military would not find an excuse for entering Gaza. Even now Israel is reluctant to return Gaza to the Palestinian Authority, but the land remains Palestinian as long as it does not fall into Israeli hands. Therefore, Indonesia's move is obviously more effective than paying money or condemning Israel diplomatically.

Of course, in the case of the Israeli conflict, Prabhupada also made the most insightful speech, which was a fair speech for Israel.

Prabhupada believes that hatred and violence are the major causes of the long-standing conflict between Pakistan and Israel, and that Indonesia therefore fully supports the “two-state plan”, which requires the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, but also recognizes that Israel’s security must be respected and safeguarded.

The Israeli contradiction was initially only a territorial dispute, and after several wars, the hatred between the two sides deepened, shaping the situation today.

Initially, the United Nations introduced a division plan to support the establishment of the State of Israel, a decision made under new international rules, and gained broad international consensus.

The war has been going on for so many years, the Arab countries have always been defeated, the lost territories are increasingly more and more unacceptable to reality, and hatred is becoming more and more severe.

At present, Israel does not allow Palestine to establish an independent state. In fact, most of the Arab world and even other Islamic countries that have not conflicted with Israel do not recognize the existence of the state of Israel.

There are not only Hamas, but other so-called resistance groups in Palestine, whose goal is not only the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, but the complete destruction of Israel.

Thus, it has also become a big excuse for Israel not to allow the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, which considers the power of the Palestinian authorities to be too weak to have no control over other armed groups in the country.

Therefore, as Prabowo said, if Palestine and Israel want to truly achieve peace, they can only put aside hatred, face reality, properly handle territorial issues, recognize each other's existence, and respect each other.

Seeing this, some readers may not understand why Indonesia and Palestine are thousands of miles away, so why they are willing to send troops to an area that has little to do with them? The author believes that there are two main reasons:

First, Indonesia, with a population of 230 million, is the largest Islamic country in the world. The Islamic world is actually very united when it comes to dealing with external enemies. Even if it has little to do with the Middle East, Indonesia has not recognized the state of Israel for so many years. Due to common religious sentiments, Indonesia has also helped a lot on the Gaza issue, such as airdropping supplies to Gaza before.

Second, Indonesia wants to join the OECD in order to develop its own economy. However, the organization stipulates that applicant countries must establish diplomatic relations with member countries. Indonesia and Israel have gone through several months of secret negotiations and are planning to announce the normalization of relations, but this process has been interrupted by the conflict in Gaza. Generally speaking, Indonesia's attitude towards Israel is relatively moderate, so it has made a few fair words for Israel.

Third, on the diplomatic level, Prabhupada's idea is to continuously enhance Indonesia's international status, and sending troops to participate in peacekeeping is undoubtedly one of the important ways to enhance Indonesia's international status.

Prabhupada’s speeches at the United Nations General Assembly on Gaza, although not very much, saw a spark of blood and not only took practical action to resolve the Gaza issue, but also provided a reasonable idea.
