The 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which was supposed to be the “round table” of global cooperation, has become an international political “dungeon” due to Trump’s arrogance.
Trump’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly is simply a “living fossil” of the “America’s priority” policy.
He not only blamed the United Nations as an “inefficient arrangement”, he even kicked Europe, kicked Russia, kicked China, and published various bullies.
“Global warming does not exist.”
"Open borders, heck" and so on.
He also praised himself with loud words, “Seven months of seven wars.”
In short, Trump's speech at the United Nations this time is simply "blasphemy" all over the world.
Of course, heads of state around the world also spontaneously carried out "encirclement and suppression" against the United States.
For example, when speaking, the Brazilian president directly referred to Trump, saying that Brazil’s sovereignty is not negotiable.
And Macron even "returned" Trump on the spot.
The Colombian president even called for prosecution against Trump.
Obviously, when Trump attacked the whole world, he was also being attacked by groups and became a real "loner".
Of course, Trump is isolated and helpless.
There are no more than three reasons.
This is contrary to the purpose of the United Nations.
To know, the theme of this UN General Assembly is "to move forward together: the eighties and the future of peace, development and human rights", but Trump is busy questioning the value of the UN, which is not only the north of the south, but also the spirit of the UN General Assembly as a "earwind."
At the opening ceremony, Secretary-General Guterres called on countries to adhere to the Charter of the United Nations, apparently to Trump's unilateral remarks "call the alarm clock", but did not speak out.
Second, it is divorced from traditional allies.
In his speech, French President Macron specifically emphasized that "the cooperative spirit of the United Nations is needed now more than ever before". This statement sounds neutral, and anyone with a discerning eye knows that it is "throwing face" against Trump's unilateralism-after all, allies have long been unable to bear the American attitude of "only caring about itself and ignoring others".
Third, it is far away from international concerns.
The world is shrinking for the conflict in Pakistan-Israel and concerned about climate change, but Trump has closed his eyes to the climate crisis, in turn distorting the UN's immigration aid to "help abuse, facilitate invasion."
This discordant argument is nothing more than a discordant arm, and America’s international right of speech is naturally weakening.
It is clear that Trump has fallen into such a situation of isolation, not by accident, but rather by a long-time “general outbreak” of the international community complaining about unilateralism.
The United Nations General Assembly voted in favour of Palestinian membership, with 145 votes in favour and a very small number against — a result like a loud echo that not only clearly illuminated the American paranoia of Israel, but also made unilateralism a “crossing mouse.”
Even the European Union has collectively "changed the face", and the traditional allies of France, Britain and the United States, directly not listening to the United States, recognize the State of Palestine, the relaxation of the traditional ally system, can be seen with the blind eye.
Let's look at the WTO Director-General's appreciation of China. The "Lao Lai" appearance of the United States in arrears of dues to the United Nations. The positive and negative contrast makes it clear who is sincerely safeguarding the multilateral mechanism and who is dismantling Taiwan.
International institutions are not “soft tomatoes,” preferring pragmatic contributors, rather than countries that play hegemony.
What I have to say is that China’s performance at this UN General Assembly can be said to have delivered another response to global governance, which is in clear contrast to the unilateral approach of the United States.
In addition to actively "not seeking" special treatment in the WTO, China frequently invokes international conventions and emphasizes rules on relevant international issues, which is superior to Trump's utilitarian "hegemonic diplomacy".
For example, not seeking special treatment in the WTO is equivalent to putting yourself in the “higher standard arena”, which is not everyone has.
Wendy Cutler, the former deputy trade representative of the United States, admitted frankly that this was China's "initiative to give the multilateral trading system a platform" and fulfilled its promise with actions.
As for using rules to speak out, it is a very "clever style of play", because China does not confront the United States head-on, but uses the "old rules" of the Charter of the United Nations as "weapons".
Neither directly blamed the United States, but also won the recognition of the international community, this wave of operation can be "four or two thousand kilograms."
Moreover, compared with the United States, which "circles" around geopolitical games all day, China is focused on "inclusive issues" such as climate change and poverty reduction at the UN General Assembly-these matters are directly related to the vital interests of developing countries and naturally can gather more support.
After all, nobody is stupid, rather than "hegemony pressure", everyone eats the "practical cooperation" set.
This United Nations General Assembly is like a "cave", putting the difference of two concepts of international relations on the table: on the one hand, it is the hegemonic logic of Trump's set of "supreme power";
On the other hand, there is an increasingly strong “rule priority” camp.
Only the wave of multilateralism victory, has not yet reached the point of "feast", at the top of the new round of order restructuring "start-up post". the United States delayed membership fees, to the WTO "cold water" operation, will only make the international community more urgent to promote mechanism reform, equivalent to digging a pit for themselves;
And if China can turn the "applause" ahead of us into a real leadership, there will still be more effort to follow.
