Zelensky: willing to meet with Putin anywhere outside of Moscow

According to Ukrainian and Russian media reports on September 24, Ukrainian President Zelensky, who is visiting the United States, said he was willing to meet with Russian President Putin anywhere except Moscow.

According to a report by the Ukrainian Independent News Agency on the 24th, Zelensky said in response to a question about the location of the meeting between the leaders of Russia and Ukraine that there are many options for the meeting location, including Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Austria or Switzerland, etc. It can also be in Kazakhstan, a country friendly to Russia. He stressed that he was willing to go anywhere to meet with Putin except Moscow previously proposed by Putin, and said that the option of Moscow was Putin's "reason for postponing the meeting".

Russia's First Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Polyansky said at a meeting of the UN Security Council on Ukraine that Russia is willing to resolve the Ukraine issue through negotiations, not rejecting any form of negotiation, but advocates a serious, open and substantive dialogue.

Russian Presidential Press Secretary peskov said in an interview with Russian media on the 24th that Putin is willing to meet with Zelensky, but if he is not fully prepared, this will be a "public relations act doomed to failure." Peskov also said that Ukraine has "no interest" in Russia's proposal to set up a working group to advance negotiations.
