The Egyptian military issued a statement on the 23rd local time, saying that the Egyptian navy arrived in Turkey on the same day to participate in the joint naval exercise. This is the first time that the two countries have held such exercises in 13 years.

The exercise, which will last for several days, will be jointly participated by the Egyptian and Turkish naval forces, including a series of lectures and naval activities to enhance the skills of the staff, improve operational efficiency, and unify the operational concepts, thereby enhancing the operational capabilities.

The exercise is part of a joint training programme between the Egyptian Armed Forces and the armed forces of friendly countries, covering a number of specialized areas, which will help strengthen military cooperation and promote the exchange of expertise between the two sides in the field of the latest tactical and modern combat methods.
