Russia's Embassy Calls on Canada: Return of Seized Airbus S-400 Transporter

According to the Russian news agency, the Russian embassy in Canada told the media that Canada should return an An-124 transport aircraft to a Russian airline it seized.

“The aircraft should be returned unconditionally to its owner,” the Russian embassy in Canada said.

According to a report by the TASS news agency on the 23rd, Russian Ambassador to Canada Oleg Stepanov told the media that the Canadian side's approach to the An-124 transport plane from the very beginning was "illegal", and the seizure of the plane and the attempt to confiscate it was "pure robbery".

“We have repeatedly warned the Canadian government and will continue to reiterate that actions against Russian property, whether private aircraft or other assets, will have extremely negative consequences,” Stepanov added.

According to previous reports from RIA Novosti, the Canadian CTV website and other media, Canada decided to close its airspace to Russian airline aircraft in 2022. An An-124 transport plane of a Russian airline has been staying in Canada for a long time. Canada also sought to confiscate the plane, which caused strong dissatisfaction from Russia.
