“The aircraft should be returned unconditionally to its owner,” the Russian embassy in Canada said.

“We have repeatedly warned the Canadian government and will continue to reiterate that actions against Russian property, whether private aircraft or other assets, will have extremely negative consequences,” Stepanov added.
According to previous reports from RIA Novosti, the Canadian CTV website and other media, Canada decided to close its airspace to Russian airline aircraft in 2022. An An-124 transport plane of a Russian airline has been staying in Canada for a long time. Canada also sought to confiscate the plane, which caused strong dissatisfaction from Russia.
