The team of lawyers of former South Korean President Yin Xi Jinping said on 23 September that Yin Xi Jinping will attend the trial of the 26th Seoul Central District Court on December last year's emergency rule of law.

The Special Prosecutor's Panel investigating Yin's responsibility for the prison crimes has filed criminal charges against him, and the case is currently under trial.The 26th trial was the first trial against Yin's allegations of abuse of office and obstructing the exercise of rights.Yin's team of lawyers said that according to the judicial procedure, the first trial of a criminal case requires the defendant to appear in court.

Since his second arrest on July 10, Yongxi has refused to be questioned by the Special Inspectorate for health reasons, and has been absent from trials on charges involving civil unrest 10 times in a row.

Last week, Yongzhi filed a bail application for his right to self-defense and health issues. The Seoul Central Court will hold another hearing on 26th to decide whether to approve his bail application.

On December 3, last year, then-Korean President Yinxiang issued an emergency warrant. On March 14, the South Korean Congress passed the impeachment motion against Yinxiang, and Yinxiang’s presidency was suspended. On January 15, this year, Yinxiang was arrested for the first time, becoming the first current president to be arrested in the history of the Korean constitution. On March 8, Yinxiang was released from Seoul detention. On April 4, the South Korean Constitutional Court announced that Yinxiang was removed from office through the impeachment against Yinxiang. On July 19, the Special Prosecutor’s Office filed a lawsuit against Yinxiang.
