Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei said on Saturday night that "Iran has no nuclear weapons", and in the current situation, negotiations with the United States are not beneficial to Iran's national interests. Khamenei said that Iran's uranium enrichment activities are effective and beneficial in improving people's livelihoods, and that uranium enrichment has been widely used in agriculture, industry, medical, environmental and other fields, including power generation, we do not have nuclear weapons, and we have decided not to manufacture or use nuclear weapons. He said the Israeli and U.S. bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities in June this year would not hinder Iran’s uranium enrichment activities, because Iran has mastered the technology and tens or even hundreds of uranium enrichment experts and Iran has not and will not succumb to pressure. Khamenei said that in the current situation, negotiations with the United States "may instead cause significant, and sometimes irreversible losses."The United States had previously made excessive demands in the negotiations and declared itself hoping that the negotiations would lead to Iran's cessation of nuclear activities and uranium enrichment activities, in fact, was a preliminary outcome of the negotiations. Khamenei mentioned that US officials also recently asked Iran to give up short, medium and long-range missiles, with the intention of depriving Iran of its ability to attack US military bases in the Middle East after being attacked. He also mentioned that in 2018, the United States violated its commitment to lift sanctions against Iran and unilaterally withdrew from the comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue reached in 2015.
