According to CBS, on the 23rd local time, a jury in Florida, USA, ruled that Ryan Rouse was convicted of all five charges for attempting to assassinate then presidential candidate Trump, including attempting to assassinate the main presidential candidate and attacking federal law enforcement officers.
Rouse was reportedly arrested at Trump's golf course in September 2024. A secret service special work permit said that he found Rouse before Trump came into his sight. Rouse pointed his rifle at the agent, and the agent immediately opened fire. Rouse abandoned the gun and ran away without firing a shot.
During the trial that day, Law said there was “no crime” because “the trigger never pulled, the gun never fired, and no one was injured.”
After the verdict was read, Law attempted to use the pen on the table to self-inflict, and the police eventually uniformed him. The federal district judge will decide the sentence for Law, and he may face life imprisonment.
