In a press release, Bovary Wildlife Park that after the discovery of "happy" kidney function failure, Chinese experts have alwaysined close communication, conducted joint consultations, and prescribed medication to control the condition. Chief DeLore said that kidney function failure is a chronic disease common in meat-eating elderly animals, and currently "happy" stillins good appetite and normal behavior. The park hopes to send "happy" peacefully back to the metropolis panda breeding research base before the condition worsenes, allowing it to enjoy later years there.
The party said that under the China-French cooperation agreement, the “Joy” and “Jong” were originally scheduled to return to China before the end of the cooperation period in January 2027.Given the “Joy” health status and they are currently in the middle of the age of the big panda, after consultation between the two sides, it was decided to return ahead of the end of November this year.
At present, there are four giant pandas living in France. "Huanhuan" and "Yuanzai" were born in 2008 and arrived in France in 2012. Two giant pandas gave birth to male cubs "Yuanmeng" in 2017 and twin cubs "Huan Lili" and "Yuandudu" in 2021. "Yuanmeng" has returned to China in 2023.
