European Commission President Von der Leyen met with U.S. President Trump on 23 local time, and the two sides discussed a series of key issues.
On the same day, Von der Leyen issued a statement on social media that Europe introduced the 19th round of sanctions to increase economic pressure on Russia, including a ban on imports of Russian LNG and extending the scope of sanctions to refineries and oil traders in third countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East and reiterated their firm support for the "two-state solution".
