On September 23 local time, Qatar’s Emir (Head of State) Tamim said in a speech at the general debate of the UN General Assembly:Qatar has qualified the Israeli attacks on Qatar's capital Doha as state terrorism.
Tamim said the Israeli attack on the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) negotiating delegation in Doha, which killed six people, including one Qataris, was a flagrant violation of international law, and that it was classified as international terrorism.The Israeli attack was aimed at hindering Gaza ceasefire negotiations.
Tamim also said that a rule-based international order must be respected by all parties, which is based on safeguarding international peace and security, respect for human dignity and national sovereignty, not interfering in internal affairs and benefiting peoples.
Israel announced a “precise strike” on Doha’s Hamas leadership on Monday, Hamas said the Hamas negotiating delegation was discussing a latest U.S. proposed cease-fire plan at the time of the air strike. Five Palestinians and one Qatari security officer were killed in the attack, and the Israeli attempt to assassinate Hamas’s senior ranks “failed.”
