¡°China is our primary trading partner, and we hope it will also be our primary tourism partner,¡± Salih Amir said at a conference that Iran must ensure its share in the market and mentioned the importance of attracting Chinese tourists.

The Tehran Times said he added that Iran needs more foreign tourists, which is crucial forining its tourism operations.

In order to attract more Chinese tourists, Iran has implemented a unilateral visa-free policy for Chinese citizens entering Iran since July 16, 2019. Iran has also prepared a Chinese guide manual for Chinese tourists to enable Chinese tourists to gain a deeper understanding of the local culture when visiting Iranian museums and sites.
