In the case of a deadlock in the tariff negotiations between South Korea and the United States, on the 22nd, the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry took the lead in negotiating countermeasures, and Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor, SK, LG and other major enterprises covering semiconductor, nuclear power, shipbuilding, aviation and other fields attended the meeting. Enterprises put forward three urgent demands, namely, alleviating the tariff burden of strategic industries such as shipbuilding, reducing the tariff impact of main export products, and solving the problem of personnel visas in the process of investing in the United States. Yesterday, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Resources of Korea also held a symposium with enterprises in the fields of steel, aluminum and derivatives affected by US tariffs, saying that the current export environment is highly uncertain, and one-on-one consulting services will be added to ensure that government funds and support policies are put in place.
