CCTV news:On September 23rd, the Chinese Consulate General in Irkutsk reminded Chinese citizens not to carry and use drones in violation of regulations.

Recently, there have been several cases in our territory where Chinese tourists have been confiscated and punished by Russian law enforcement agencies for illegal carriage and use of drones.In order to prevent similar situations from happening again, to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens in Russia, the Chinese Consulate General in Irkutsk reminded:

1, strictly abide by local prohibitions, do not let go. The federal entities of our district have issued decrees that completely prohibit individuals and unauthorized organizations from using drones. Any unauthorized flight violates Article 11.4 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (violating the rules of airspace use), will face fines and other penalties.

In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Russian Federation, drones may be classified as special equipment, and must be declared at the time of entry or hold a corresponding permit. There are Chinese tourists who have not declared in advance at the time of entry, and their drones are seized by the customs, causing unnecessary economic losses and travel delays.

Third, enhance the awareness of risk, safely travel in the civilisation. establish the awareness of the "security overseas first responsible person".Given that our district has explicitly prohibited the use of drones by individuals, the Consulate General recommends that Chinese citizens who come to Russia enter the country according to the custom, abide by local regulations, do not report luck, and consciously safeguard the good image of the Chinese people.
