Hungary¡¯s Minister of Culture and Innovation, Hanko Paola, said in Budapest on September 22, that Hungary sees the expansion of higher education cooperation with China as ¡°a long-term strategic investment that can promote regional stability and common prosperity.¡±

At the opening ceremony of the Chongqing University Chairman Dialogue held in Budapest on the same day, Hanko said that 200 partnerships have been established between the two universities, and that Hungary has also launched a scholarship policy to attract Chinese international students.

Merkai Bello, president of Zemel Weiss Medical University and president of the Hungarian Presidents' Union, said that the university has established partnerships with 16 Chinese universities. This dialogue will provide a valuable platform for deepening bilateral cooperation in education and scientific research, promoting two-way exchanges between students and teachers, and expanding cooperation in engineering, technology and innovation.

Gong Tao, Chinese Ambassador to Hungary, expressed the hope to take this opportunity to expand student exchanges, joint research and youth cooperation between the two countries. Fu Bo, deputy secretary-general of China Association for International Exchange of Education, said that Hungary has long been an important partner of China in the field of education, and this dialogue marked the opening of a new chapter in educational cooperation between the two countries.

During the two-day dialogue, 100 representatives from 50 universities in the two countries will discuss topics such as research cooperation and personnel exchange.
