based onCentral journalistA letter from the Israeli Permanent Delegation to the United Nations to the President of the UN Security Council received on September 22 local time said that Israel would not attend the Security Council’s high-level meeting on Palestine scheduled for September 23.
The letter said the meeting coincided with the Jewish festival, and Israel requested to rearrange the time but failed and was therefore not able to attend.
It is understood that UN Secretary-General Guterres will attend the meeting.
