Matías Travizano, CEO of a successful technology company from Argentina, once served as an adviser to the Argentine government and met frequently with political and business leaders. However, this all-powerful elite in the business world was killed in a mountaineering accident in Mount Shasta, California, tragically ending his 45-year-old life.
According to police reports, after successfully climbing the top, Travisano returned from a relatively safe descent path (Clear Creek Trail). On the way, he and a companion deviated from the route and went into a dangerous glacial area covered by ice snow and debris. Though the two tried to escape through the slide, Travisano first struck the rock and fell into coma after a brief recovery and then slid again, eventually falling from a near-mile cliff.
Police warned that although this walking route is considered safe, it is very easy to lose direction in bad weather, once deviated, it can enter dangerous terrain, leading to accidents. This tragedy also warns the world once again, in the face of the unpredictability of nature, even the fully prepared climbers should always be vigilant.
