On September 22, the Provisional Government of Nepal added four new ministers, and the personnel of the Provisional Government increased to eight.

The swearing-in ceremony of the new minister was held at the Presidential Palace of Nigeria and presided over by President Baudel of Nigeria. Anil Kumar Sinha, a former judge of the Supreme Court of Nepal, became the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supply, and concurrently served as the Minister of Land Administration, Cooperatives and Poverty Reduction and the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs was previously in charge of Home Minister Om Prakash Ariyal.

In addition, Mahabir Poon became Minister of Education and Science and Technology; Madan Prasad Pariyal became Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Development; Jagdish Karel became Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

On the 12th of this month, Baudel appointed Susila Karki, former chief justice of the Supreme Court of Nepal, as the prime minister of the interim government. Baudel then announced the dissolution of the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament that night according to Karki's suggestion, and planned to hold a general election on March 5, 2026. The interim government of Nepal confirmed the first batch of three ministers on the 15th of this month.

On the 8th and 9th of this month, protests broke out in the capital, Kathmandu, and elsewhere in Nepal, causing significant casualties and property losses.
