The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the decision of Britain, Australia and Canada to recognize the Palestinian state on the same day, saying that these decisions were "brave and fearless, in line with international law and international legitimacy resolutions, and stemmed from these countries' commitment to ending occupation, achieving peace and ensuring the security, stability and prosperity of the region and even the world".
