Serbian President Vucic organized a massive parade ceremony that surprised both visitors and non-visitors.
On September 20th, the sun was shining in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, and the "Power of Unity" military parade was held grandly at the Serbian Palace to commemorate the Day of Serbia's Unity, Freedom and National Flag.
At the beginning of the military parade, a 300-meter-long Serbian flag slowly walked past the rostrum under the support of the students of the Military Academy of Belgrade National Defense University. The scene was spectacular.
Subsequently, President Vucic issued an order to inspect the troops, and more than 10,000 members of the Syrian armed forces passed through the observatory to receive the inspection of the President and guests.
The military parade displayed about 2,500 pieces of weapons and military equipment, including more than 600 vehicles, 70 aircraft and 20 ships. Among them, weapons and equipment made in China also appeared in the military parade, attracting everyone's attention.
The Special Forces also performed a fantastic tactical demonstration, with parachutists flying the Serbian flag in the air, winning the audience’s cheers.
In addition to Serbian politicians such as President Vucic, Prime Minister Matut, and the head of the National Assembly, Mr Brnabic, there were also multinational politicians, military representatives and ambassadors in Serbia.
Among them, the presence of the President of the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East, Mohammed and the Prince of Bahrain, was remarkable, and President Vucic personally went to the airport to meet the President of the United Arab Emirates, enough to show the importance to him.
However, careful people found that the friends of Wojcic – the Slovak Prime Minister Fico and the Hungarian Prime Minister Orban – did not appear at the parade.
This surprised some people. After all, Prime Minister Fizo of Lovak and Prime Minister Orban of Hungary did not appear at the military parade. This surprised some people. After all, Serbia also has close relations with Slovakia and Hungary in Europe.
In fact, Serbia’s diplomatic situation in Europe has been quite special.
On the one hand, it is one of the EU candidates, which is actively pushing for alliance negotiations every year; on the other hand, it has alwaysined friendly relations with countries such as Russia, does not join the sanctions against Russia, and also cooperates in the fields of energy, military industry and other.
This “right-to-right” strategy, while allowing Serbia to defend its own interests to a certain extent, also makes it face pressure from all sides in some international affairs.
The reasons why Slovak Prime Minister Fico and Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán did not attend the parade are unknown, but it may be related to the foreign policy of their respective countries and the current situation in Europe as a whole.
In any case, this military parade still demonstrated Serbia's unity and strength, and also demonstrated its determination to actively expand diplomatic relations on the international stage.
After the military parade, Vucic posted on social media that the military parade is the pride of Serbia and the result of the joint efforts of soldiers, citizens and the country. Serbia hopes for peace and prosperity and knows how to safeguard national dignity, territory and future. Serbia's continuous diplomatic exploration and efforts will also bring more opportunities and possibilities for its future development.
