According to "Russia Today" (RT), on Friday, local time, Trump told reporters at the White House Oval Office that the United States was "profiting" from the conflict in Ukraine, and he praised the agreement signed with NATO in July this year.

The agreement, called the “Ukrainian Priority List” (PURL), allows the U.S. to transfer weapons to Ukraine, but the costs are borne by European countries. According to Reuters and others, an unnamed NATO official confirmed on the 18th that the first batch of military equipment under the PURL aid mechanism has been shipped to Ukraine.

According to a video released on the official YouTube channel of the White House, when asked "if he would consider weakening the aid funds promised by the previous Biden administration to Ukraine," Trump immediately replied, "We (the Trump administration) didn't spend a penny on this war. You know, everything we provide is paid for. Unlike Biden, he gave them (Ukraine) $350 billion, which is simply shocking."

He added, “We don’t spend any money on this war. This war is funded by NATO.NATO is buying our equipment.”

Trump continued, “In fact, I didn’t want to make money from this war, but we profited from it because, as you know, they (NATO countries) are buying our equipment.

“It’s really a sad war, it shouldn’t have happened...” Trump ended the matter with a common phrase.

Two months ago, Trump announced that the United States had reached an agreement with NATO to buy weapons from the U.S. with full funding from NATO countries, after which NATO would "deliver" those weapons to Ukraine.

Since then, several European countries have pledged to provide funding for the PURL program, including Denmark with approximately $90 million, Sweden with $275 billion, Norway with approximately $135 billion, the Netherlands with $599 million for the first batch of aid materials, and Germany with $500 million.

On September 17, local time, informed sources revealed that Deputy Secretary for Policy Affairs of the U.S. Department of Defense, Elbridge Colby, has approved the first two shipments of military aid supplies to Ukraine under the new mechanism, each worth up to $500 million.

It is said that this is the first time that the United States and its NATO allies have activated this new cooperation mechanism.

Ukrainian President Zelensky subsequently said that the Ukrainian side will receive the first military support under the PURL mechanism, including the Patriot air defense system missiles, the high-mobility rocket artillery system "Hymas" launchers.

He also said that the PURL mechanism has pledged more than $2 billion in aid to Ukraine, and that more funds are expected to flow by October, when the amount of military aid to Ukraine under the mechanism will rise to $3.5 billion to $3.6 billion.

Patrick Turner, NATO's senior representative in Ukraine, also confirmed that more aid materials are already in transit. "The four batches of equipment funds in the list have been in place, and relevant equipment is being delivered one after another."

As for Europe’s continued military aid to Ukraine, Russian President Peskov said earlier, “This trend is very bad and very dangerous. We have seen this, we are considering it, and we will draw up our next plan on that basis.”

On the 17th, Peskov reiterated that Russia is still open to Russia-Ukraine negotiations and hopes to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict through "political and diplomatic means", but Ukraine is "artificially delaying" this process.

According to the Independent newspaper, Zelensky revealed in an interview on the 19th that he will meet with Trump next week during the United Nations General Assembly to discuss security issues in Ukraine and sanctions against Russia.
