On September 20, Venezuela launched the "military camp to the people" program, sending armed forces personnel to more than 5,300 communities in the country, carrying out training and other weapons operations.

President Maduro said at an event in Alaska that day that the "camp to the people" plan was one of the actions taken by Venezuela in response to the U.S. military deployment in the Caribbean, safeguarding peace and sovereignty, not only consolidated military and civilian unity, but also made the Venezuelan people complete tactical preparation.

On the same day, journalists saw dozens of militias and community residents sitting under white tents on a square near the center of the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, listening to military personnel teaching combat skills. Participants held a manual on the Revolutionary Resistance Tactical Methods, which included the organizational structure of different combat units, basic tasks and personal tactics and skills to be mastered.

In addition, the coastal areas of Falcon State, New Esparta State, Sucre State and other Venezuelan states carried out maritime mobilizations on the same day, and fishermen and aquaculture workers carried out military training.

The U.S. has deployed several warships in the Caribbean waters near Venezuela in order to "fight the Latin American drug trafficking group."
