On September 19, U.S. federal police and protesters broke out in clashes outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency facilities in Chicago. Demonstrators blocked vehicles trying to escape from immigrant detention centers, and women were beaten up with police, resulting in faces hit. Police repeatedly fired tear gas and pepper bombs, pursuing and knocking down several protesters. A man dressed as “Captain America” was captured and taken to an immigrant detention center.The U.S. Department of Homeland Security said more than 100 protesters had "enclosed" the facility and at least five people had been arrested.The protest wasly aimed at opposing the Trump administration's "intermediate action" to increase immigration law enforcement.
