On September 19 (reported), the website of the British Practicing Physicians Tribunal recently disclosed an incident. A doctor left an anesthetized patient on the operating table and turned to another room to have intimate behavior with a nurse. The incident happened on September 16, 2023. The married anesthesiologist Anjem handed over the patient under general anesthesia to a colleague for surveillance on the grounds of "resting" and went to another operating room. When a nurse entered the operating room, he saw the nurse involved.
He was fired from the hospital after an internal investigation and was exposed at the hearing when he applied for practice in the UK again, but was allowed to practice on the grounds that "the risk of such behavior was very low."
