The Wall Street Journal quoted informed sources as saying that the Trump administration was seeking Congressional approval for the sale of $6 billion worth of weapons to Israel.The report said that despite Israel's previous attacks on the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Qatar and the increased military offensive in Gaza City, the U.S. is still pushing forward with strong condemnation in Europe and the Middle East.

According to the report, according to people familiar with the matter, the arms sale includes a sum of 30 AH-64E "Apache" helicopters worth $3.8 billion, which will almost double the number of existing aircraft in Israel. The Trump administration is also seeking approval for a $1.9 billion deal to provide 3,250 infantry assault vehicles to the Israeli army, documents reviewed by the Wall Street Journal and a person familiar with the matter said. The weapons could take two to three years to be delivered, the person said.

Information sources also said that the arms sale was first submitted to congressional high-level consideration about a month ago, when there were no Israeli attacks on Hamas leadership in the capital of Qatar, and the U.S. continued to seek approval of the arms sale program after the Israeli attacks.
