The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the resolution was initiated by Canada and Ukraine, and that the countries that supported the resolution were the main instigators of anti-Russian actions and its affiliates.Since the resolution was introduced in 2023, the support rate has continued to decline, with only 62 countries voting in favour, accounting for about a third of the total number of members of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
