According to the U.S. cable news network on the 18th, White House news secretary Levitt recently began to receive the protection of the U.S. Secret Service.

Two White House officials said the decision was made due to the political tension after the shooting of well-known conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Kirk was shot dead during a speech at Utah Valley University in Olem, Utah on October 10. Multiple media noted that ¡°Kirk¡¯s death¡± highlighted the escalation of U.S. political violence and political polarization, and that the U.S. is either facing a new era of political violence.
