Latest news: The 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly today (September 19) passed a resolution allowing Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to address world leaders via video during the general debate of the General Assembly next week. Last month, the U.S. State Department decided to refuse and revoke the visas of members of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian National Authority on the grounds of security, extremism and foreign policy. Abbas and about 80 other Palestinians were affected by this decision and were unable to go to new york to attend related activities of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
