Russia's second-largest airport website hacked

On September 19, Russia's second-largest city, St. Petersburg's Pulkovo airport issued a statement via social media that the website of the airport was hacked, but the airport operations remained normal.

The statement said that the functionality of the Pulkovo airport website was limited due to hacking, and staff are working to restore the functionality of the site. At present, the airport is operating normally, and flights are scheduled.

The Pulkovo airport website page is displayed temporarily under maintenance.

The news office of the airport operator "Northern Capital Air Portal" also said that the information technology facilities required for passenger loading and flight services at the airport are not related to the airport website, and technicians are working to restore the airport website.

According to Russia's International Telecommunications Agency, in 2024, the airport will have 20.9 million passengers, making it the second largest airport in Russia.
