Xinhua News Agency, Geneva, September 19 (Reporter Shi Song) On the 18th, the 60th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council held an interactive dialogue on the report submitted by Turk, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, according to the resolution "Promoting and Protecting Economic, Social and Cultural Rights in the Context of Eliminating Inequality" sponsored by China.

Li Shimei, Deputy Leader of China's Delegation to the 60th Session of the UN Human Rights Council, said that ensuring everyone's equal enjoyment of social and cultural rights is an important goal for the realization of all human rights. On the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, we must adhere to genuine multilateralism, enhance dialogue and cooperation on the basis of equality and mutual respect; adhere to the supreme philosophy of the people, increase the investment in social and cultural rights; strengthen solidarity and cooperation, and drive developed countries to provide more vigorous support to developing countries and ensure that no one falls behind.

During the dialogue, all parties spoke highly of China's leading role in the field of economic, social and cultural rights, and supported China to propose the resolution of the same name again. All parties said that the resolution is based on the present and focuses on the future, aiming at bridging differences in ideas, taking concrete actions, jointly seeking the greatest common denominator of cooperation, and helping the healthy and long-term development of the global human rights cause.
