On September 19, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus declared a Czech diplomat in Belarus a "unpopular person" and limited him to leave within 72 hours.

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ruslan Valankov told the media that Poland and the Czech Republic recently requested Belarusian diplomats to leave the country for blatant and unfounded reasons.The Belarusian Foreign Ministry called the Czech representative Thomas Kerry in Belarus on the same day and informed him in response that a Czech diplomat had been declared "unwelcome person" and had to leave Belarus within 72 hours.

In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus also convened the Polish temporary office in Belarus on the same day to discuss the current relations between Belarus and Poland.

The Belarus Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes that this diplomatic incident has been resolved. If the situation escalates further, Belarus will respond accordingly.
