Jordanian investigation kills two Israelis in shooting

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan issued a statement on September 18 that relevant authorities have opened an investigation into the gun attack on the West Bank on September 18, which killed two Israelis.

The statement said that the suspected attacker became the driver delivering aid supplies to the Gaza Strip three months ago. On the day of the incident, 22 trucks carrying aid supplies entered the Gaza Strip through the accident port. Jordan condemns all acts of violence and opposes all illegal actions. The gun attack harms Jordan's national interests and will also weaken the ability to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

In a statement, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry stressed the need to immediately stop Israel’s “aggression” in the Gaza Strip, a permanent ceasefire and resolve the conflict on the basis of the “two-state plan”.

The Israel Defense Forces issued a statement on the 18th saying that a Palestinian militant arrived near the land port of Alumbi Bridge in a truck delivering humanitarian aid from Jordan to the Gaza Strip that day, and then attacked Israelis with guns. Israeli security forces killed the attacker on the spot.
