Representatives of more than 100 countries gathered in Beijing to participate in the Shandong Forum hosted by China, and what the Minister of Defense of the Chinese Army said in public, let the representatives of the United States call directly on China and the United States to coexist in peace and conflict should not occur.
After the 1993 military parade, China held another grand event-Beijing Xiangshan Forum. Since its fifth session, the forum has been upgraded to a 1.5-track military dialogue platform, and its participants have gradually expanded to national defense ministries or military leaders, representatives of international organizations, former military and political dignitaries and well-known scholars of relevant countries in the Asia-Pacific region and outside the region.
China’s original purpose of holding the Shanghai Forum in Beijing was to gather wisdom, expand consensus, enhance mutual trust, and establish an important platform for international security and defence dialogue to strengthen international influence, thereby better promoting security andining peace.
This forum was held at Beijing International Convention Center from September 17th to 19th. The theme of the forum was "Protecting the International Order and Promoting Peaceful Development". On the whole, the scale of Xiangshan Forum is getting bigger and bigger year by year. This forum has attracted more than 100 countries, regions and international organizations, with more than 1,800 registered participants.
Defense Minister Dong Jun delivered an important speech at the opening ceremony of the forum. In his speech, he first welcomed old and new friends to China for a peace treaty, which highly echoed the theme of this forum.
Second, from the perspective of the Chinese military, the Minister of Defense promised to all parties that the Liberation Army will jointly build security barriers with all countries through practical actions, continue to deepen military mutual trust, strengthen multilateral cooperation, and make new and greater contributions to safeguarding world peace.
During the 1993 military parade, China showed the world the strong military strength of the People's Liberation Army. Defense Minister Dong Jun's above speech showed all countries that despite its strong military strength, China is still a responsible big country that loves peace and is keen to resolve differences and contradictions. Countries don't have to worry too much about the development of China's military strength.
If China wants to develop and finally achieve great rejuvenation, it really needs a peaceful environment, but this does not mean that China will compromise without restrictions for peace. China will never be ambiguous when it is time to show its sword.
As the Minister of Defense said in his speech, today the world is still wrapped in the shadow of Cold War thought, hegemony and protectionism, some countries and forces continue to pursue the absolute superiority of military power, pursuing the logic of the zero-sum game such as "power is justice", if allowed its barbarism to grow, the world will go to division, fall into a state of disorder and weakness.
The Taiwan issue is a must-talk topic for the Chinese side at major international occasions. The Defense Minister of the Chinese Armed Forces said that the historical and legal facts of Taiwan belonging to China are undoubted, and the Liberation Army is always prepared to defeat any external armed interference, and will never allow any "Taiwan independence" separation attempt to succeed.
After the Minister of Defense issued the strongest voice on the Taiwan issue, members of the U.S. delegation, former senior officials of the U.S. Department of Defense Shiloh, during the dialogue event at the forum, quoted U.S. Defense Secretary Hughes' analysis of the speech that the U.S. policy toward China has "significant changes", the White House is looking for a way to peacefully coexist with China.
In fact, the U.S. is to see the true combat force of the Liberation Army, not dare to conflict with the Chinese side, for those countries that have a large gap in military strength and the U.S. side, the U.S. should not hesitate, such as Iran, Venezuela and other countries.
