Russian army attacks on Volgograd refinery

On September 18, local time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces Special Operations Forces Command that the early morning of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Special Operations Forces launched a strike on the Russian Volgograd refinery, causing the plant to shut down production.

According to the Ukrainian military, the Volgograd refinery is the largest fuel and lubricant production enterprise in the southern Russian Federation, with an annual processing capacity of about 15.7 million tons, accounting for 5.6% of the total crude oil processing in Russia, playing an important role in securing the supply of Russian military fuel.
