Among them, Microsoft announced that it will invest 22 billion pounds (about 30 billion US dollars) in the construction and operation of artificial intelligence infrastructure in the UK, which is the largest investment commitment made by Microsoft in the UK so far; Nvidia will join hands with companies across the UK to deploy 120,000 advanced GPU chips in the UK, which is the company's largest deployment in Europe to date; Google announced the opening of a data centre in Hertfordshire as part of the company's two-year total investment plan of 5 billion pounds in the UK.
In addition, the British company Nscale reached an agreement with Nvidia and OpenAI to build a British version of the "Stargate" project, and established a partnership with Microsoft to build the UK's largest AI supercomputer in Lorton.
The communiqué said the northeastern region of England will become a new AI growth zone, which is expected to create more than 5,000 jobs and billions of private investments.
