A hospital in the Brazilian capital, Brazil, announced on September 17, that former president Bosonaro had been diagnosed with skin cancer, and after treatment symptoms improved, he left the hospital that afternoon.

Bolsonaro has returned to his residence in Brasilia to continue his home imprisonment. According to the hospital announcement, the doctor performed a pathological examination on the removed skin lesion. The report showed that two of the eight skin lesions resected were diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma in situ. After Bolsonaro was treated with intravenous infusion, the related symptoms improved, but clinical follow-up and regular review are still needed.

Bosonaro experienced dizziness and vomiting symptoms on the 16th, and was accompanied by a drop in blood pressure, and was sent to the hospital by the police who guarded his residence.

Brazil's Federal Supreme Court announced on the 11th that Bolsonaro was convicted of planning a coup and sentenced to 27 years and 3 months in prison. Bolsonaro became the first former president in Brazilian history to be convicted of planning a coup.

Federal Supreme Court Justice Alexander de Moraes sentenced Bolsonaro to home imprisonment on August 4th. According to the requirements, Bolsonaro can go out on the grounds of medical emergency, but he needs to submit relevant certificates within 24 hours.
