On Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Al-Araqi spoke to foreign ministers of Britain, France and Germany on Iran's nuclear issue and the lifting of sanctions.
In this call,Al-Araqi expressed Iran's willingness to maintain dialogue and diplomatic channels to prevent escalation of tensions, and said the move of the European three countries to launch the "rapid reinstatement of sanctions" mechanism lacks any legal and logical basis.。
“Iran has conducted a dialogue with the International Atomic Energy Agency with a responsible attitude and has developed a clear path to fulfill its obligations in the new situation, and the parties should understand the importance and value of this action now, and the opposing parties should take this opportunity to continue to advance the diplomatic path to prevent a crisis that could be avoided, and show a serious attitude and belief in diplomacy.”
Iran’s willingness to reach a fair, balanced and mutually beneficial solution requires three European countries to take a responsible and independent approach and avoid being influenced by actors who do not respect the principles of diplomacy and international law.
During this call, the parties exchanged opinions and suggestions on continuing to advance the diplomatic path. —Taiwan reporter Li Kennan
