January 12, 2001 William Hewlett, one of the founders of Hewlett-Packard, died
On January 12, 2001 (December 18, 2000), William Houlett, one of the founders of HP, died. In 2001, American electrical engineer William Houlett, one of the founders of HP, was founded by William Reddington Hewlett (1913-2001.1.12), an American electrical engineer, one of the founders of HP. HP was founded by William (Bill) Hewlett and David (Dave) Packard, two Stanford graduates in 1934. They founded their own garage company near the home of HP in Palo Alto, so it was called a "garage enterprise" and the garage was also retained as a designated monument by the government of California. Palo Alto developed the company's philosophy of "guided by employees" in such a belief that it was popularly called the company's "Fantasy House in Palo Alto"
