Fifty-eight years ago today, on October 21, 1967 (September 18, 1967 in the lunar calendar), Washington held a demonstration against the Vietnam War. Peaceful demonstrators and military police in the United States On October 21, 1967, thousands of demonstrators rushed to the Pentagon shouting slogans, turning a peaceful rally against the Vietnam War in Washington into a violent conflict. Soldiers defending the Pentagon and federal law enforcement officers are armed with rifles and bayonets, and they form a cordon to prevent the attack of demonstrators.
