On August 18th, 2002 (July 10th, 2002 in the lunar calendar), the first mathematics hall of the domestic science and technology museum was completed in Tianjin. Visiting and Touring Tianjin Science and Technology Museum On August 18th, 2002, the Mathematics Hall of Tianjin Science and Technology Museum, initiated by Mr. Chen Shengshen, an international mathematics master and honorary curator of Tianjin Science and Technology Museum, was completed in Tianjin and opened to the public. This is the first mathematics exhibition hall in domestic science and technology museums at present, and it is also the largest one. It covers an area of 1,100 square meters, including the gallery of mathematics history, modern mathematics, classical mathematics, interesting mathematics, application of computer and mathematics, etc. It systematically introduces the memorabilia of Chinese and foreign mathematics, famous mathematics awards and the lives of 50 Chinese and foreign mathematicians. The Mathematics Hall, the first science and technology museum in China, proposed by Professor Chen Shengshen, a master of mathematics, was completed in Tianjin after two years of preparation, and officially opened today. The newly built Mathematics Hall of Tianjin Science and Technology Museum covers a total area of 1,100 square meters, which is divided into six parts: Preface Hall, Mathematics History Gallery, Modern Mathematics, Classical Mathematics, Interesting Mathematics, and Application of Computer and Mathematics.
