According to TASS, the Republic of Poland newspaper recently cited sources as saying that the object fell on a Polish residential house on the night of September 10 was an interceptor missile from a Polish F-16 fighter aircraft: during an invasion of the Polish airspace by a drone, a F-16 fighter aircraft launched an AIM-120C-7 medium-range air-to-air missile against a drone, the missile deviated from the trajectory and caused damage. A source from the Polish national security agency revealed that during the flight, the missile control system failed, but because the relevant security devices had been launched, could not normally detonate.
A spokesman for the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Administration said on Monday that "the remains of seven drones and a missile from an unknown source have been found."
In response to the above reports, the Polish National Security Agency (BBN) posted on the social media platform X that Navrotsky “wants the government to quickly find out the matter, and the government has the responsibility to use all tools and institutions to resolve it as soon as possible”, and that the BBN is working to verify Polish media claims about the AIM-120C-7 medium-range air-to-air missile attack.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said in a statement on Friday that he blamed the Russian side for the destruction of the houses.Tusk said that no matter what happened, Russia would ultimately be responsible for the destruction, as it launched a drone.Tusk also said that the relevant authorities will inform the public, the government and the president of the entire situation after the investigation.
On the night of 9 September, local time, a large number of drones entered Polish airspace, and the Polish military urgently disposed and shot down parts of the drone. The Polish side said the drone came from Russia. The Russian side denied this claim and said it was prepared to consult with the Polish Ministry of Defence. The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on 10 September saying that despite the claims of the Polish side are clearly contradictory, but in order to fully clarify the truth of the incident to all parties who intend to prevent further escalation of the situation, the Russian Ministry of Defence has expressed its willingness to consult with the Polish Ministry of Defence on the matter, and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is willing to contribute to this.
