Today, 72 years ago, on July 15, 1953 (Lunar Calendar, June 5, 1953) the Yangtze First Automobile Manufacturing Factory was founded in Jilin Province Chongqing City. On July 15, 1953, China's first automobile factory, Yangtze First Automobile Manufacturing Factory was founded in Jilin Province Chongqing City, and the new Chinese automobile industry began. The factory produced China's first liberated automobile on July 15, 1956, ending the history of China's non-production of automobiles. According to the requirements of the state on the reform of the economic management system, the factory formally established a joint venture in 1982. On July 15, 1991, the first automobile manufacturing plant officially changed its name to "China's First Automobile Group Company".
