After the death of Edward III on 21 June 1377, the throne was handed over to his grandson Richard II.

Richard II (January 6, 1367 ¨C February 14, 1400), King of England, ruled from 1377 to 1399.

The son of Black Prince Edward, who inherited the throne of his grandfather, was only eleven years old when he succeeded, and the real power was held by his uncle, the Duke of Lancaster, John Gunt. For this reason, he hated the Lancaster family. His cousin, the Duke of Lancaster, was expelled and confiscated. In 1399, Henry raised his army and arrested the king during the King's expedition to Ireland, and allowed Congress to agree to destroy Richard, beginning with Henry's reign.
