Today, 33 years ago, on the 23rd of June 1992 (Calendar, 23 May 1992) there was an international train between Urumqi and Almaty. The first international passenger train from Urumqi to Almaty, and from Urumqi on the 12th of June 1992 at a solemn ceremony, this marked the opening of all roads, air and railways between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
