On December 12, 1946, the Nansha Islands returned to their homeland. In December 1946, Chinese government officials and naval officers took over the Nansha Islands to photograph the memorial and erect a monument to reaffirm sovereignty. On the back of the monument, on December 12, 1946, the Chinese Navy, in accordance with the Cairo Declaration and the Potsdam Announcement, dispatched two military ships to the Nansha Islands to declare sovereignty. After the ship's sailors and naval troops landed on the Pacific Island, lifted the national flag and held a ceremony to recover the sovereignty of the Nansha Islands, announcing to the world that the previously occupied and subsequently occupied Nansha Islands returned to the motherland.
