Today, 43 years ago, on June 30, 1982 (May 10, 1982) the Water Maintenance Work Regulations were passed. On June 30, 1982, the State Council of the People's Republic of China issued the Water Maintenance Work Regulations. The Water Maintenance Work Regulations are an administrative regulation for preventing water loss, developing agriculture, forestry, pastoral production and protecting the natural environment. The regulations provide specific provisions for educational work, scientific research, rewards and punishments for the maintenance of water.
