After the Japanese army occupied Beijing, Jiangsu established Beijing's local maintenance council on July 30, 1937, Jiangsu became the chairman of Beijing's local maintenance council on August 6, Beijing's local maintenance council promoted Jiangsu to be the mayor of Beijing; on August 8, the Japanese army took over Beijing's defense, on August 9, Jiangsu officially became the chairman of Beijing's local maintenance council; on August 19, Jiangsu became the mayor of Beijing's local maintenance council. On October 12, Beijing's local maintenance council announced the end of December 17, and on January 20, 1938 all its affairs were accepted by the Chinese people's emergency government, and Beijing's special maintenance council was formally established. On December 14, the Chinese people's temporary government was formally established in Beijing, Beijing's government In September 1945, Japan surrendered, and the Nanjing National Government took over Beijing City, and announced that the city's original name was restored to "Beijing City" and remained a municipality.In October 1945, the Beijing Municipal Government was re-established and still directly governed by the Executive House.On January 31, 1949, the Peaceful Liberation of Beijing, and on February 4, 1949, the People's Government of Beijing City took over the former Beijing Municipal Government.
