During a speech in the Supreme Radar (Parliament) of Ukraine, the President of the European Parliament announced on 19 local time that the European Parliament will establish a permanent representation in Kiev.

Mechela said the European Union is about to pass the 19th round of sanctions scheme against Russia.The core contents of the scheme include the continued reduction of dependence on Russian oil and natural gas and the fight against the shadow fleet of Russia.

She pointed out that the next step would be the opening of the ¡°basic cluster¡± negotiations. This marks a new crucial step in Ukraine¡¯s accession process. In addition, she stressed that the restoration of anti-corruption agency functions is a fundamental prerequisite for Ukraine¡¯s accession to the European Union.
