Reuters and France news agencies quoted Iranian media reports as saying that the Iranian justice department said a man had been hanged on the 17th after being convicted of spying for the Israeli intelligence and intelligence agency (Mossad).

The agency quoted Iranian media as saying that "Babakh Shahbaz ... was hanged this morning after a legitimate legal procedure and a verdict confirmed by the Supreme Court."

It is unclear when Shahbaz was arrested, according to Iranian media, that he was involved in designing and installing industrial cooling systems for companies associated with military, security and telecommunications organizations and facilities.
